The Simbus infrastructure is intrinsically able to support any synchronous bus protocols, but the server needs to be minimally aware of the bus type so that it can manage shared vs non-shared signals and some core protocol basics. Also, simbus needs to provide the language bindings to interface with the server. So although it should be very easy to add new bus protocol support, that bus protocol support is needed. This table lists the bus protocols that are supported.
